Introduction
The SFTP SuiteApp uses, by default, a workflow(s) or scheduled script(s) to schedule created download configurations. Included in the SuiteApp is a saved search that searches for all your created download configuration and will trigger these in one go.
If you would like to schedule some download configurations at other intervals, then it is recommended to create separate saved searches to narrow down the download configurations that are triggered.
On the Download Configuration, you have the option to schedule a CSV import. This option will only be triggered if the schedule is created with the script options.
Saved Search
During the setup of the workflow, you must select a saved search so that the workflow knows which download configuration to trigger. The SFTP SuiteApp has been installed with a default search named “SftpCon Download Action Configuration Search”.
During the setup of the workflow, you can include this search, but this will trigger all your created Download Configurations. If different intervals are needed in the schedule, then we recommend to open this search and edit the criteria to limit the results. After you have altered the search you can save it with a naming convention that indicates the purpose of the newly created search.
During the creation of the workflow, you must then select your custom created search. We expect that you are familiar with saved searches. If this isn’t the case you could visit SuiteAnswers for more information regarding Saved Searches. It's also possible to request additional support to assist you with the creation of the needed saved search.
Schedule Options
As a user, you can choose to use a workflow or a scheduled script to schedule the download configuration. The workflow option provides an on-screen UI option that shows the user what they are exactly creating. The downside of a workflow is that you can schedule the interval from 30 minutes or higher and CSV imports aren’t triggered. The scheduled scrip option can be scheduled for every 15 minutes or higher and does trigger potential CSV.
