The SFTP SuiteApp uses, by default, a workflow(s) to trigger upload configurations. These workflows can be triggered by manual action or a schedule action.
In this documentation, we will only provide a simple setup. We expect that the system administrator has enough experience with workflows to enhance these where needed. Optionally, you could request the assistance of a Zone Consultant.
The trigger for upload is always coming from a NetSuite record. If your file isn’t related to a record, you could create a custom record for this purpose. In this documentation, we will use the NetSuite Payment File Administration as the example record.

To test the created upload action open on of the Payment File Administration files. Make sure the created field that holds the Upload configuration is populated. Press the created button from the workflow and when the page is reloaded the file should be present on your SFTP location.
