Payout Event records are created when new Stripe payout activity has been identified during the ‘Retrieve Payouts’ automation process. This record can be viewed under Transactions > ZonePayments > ZP Payout Events.
Payout Event records create a copy of transaction activity in Stripe since the last payout occurred. This information (payments, refunds, fees, destination bank accounts, etc.) is used to match data between Payment Provider Activity records and Stripe.
Once Payouts are retrieved and Payout Event records are created, a secondary automated process, ‘Process Payouts’ runs. This generates a single Deposit record for each Payout Event which will display on the Payout Event ‘Deposit’ field.
If any issues arise during processing, a description of the problem will show in the “Error” field. Once a discrepancy has been resolved, you may edit the Payout Event and blank out the “Error” field, which will allow it to be retried by the ‘Process Payouts’ automation.
See Payouts and Deposits for more information.
